olly is deeply committed to her craft.\u00a0She has been widely recognized as a gifted musician and performer.\u00a0She maintains a challenging and rewarding concert schedule.\u00a0Over the past several years, her experience has included both orchestral and ensemble performances throughout North Carolina and Texas.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Most recently, Molly<\/span> accepted a contract section violin position in the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra (Irving, TX) and is currently performing with the ensemble during its 2019-20 season.\u00a0Previously, Molly<\/span> has performed as a first and second violinist with the Abilene Philharmonic, Greensboro Symphony, Fayetteville Symphony, Wilmington Symphony, North State Chamber Orchestra, Waco Symphony, and Temple (TX) Symphony as well as the UNT Symphony Orchestra, Baylor Symphony Orchestra and the UNCG Symphony Orchestra.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

M olly has been recognized musically and academically; she is the recipient of the College of Music Award and Teaching Fellowship at UNT, the School of Music Dean\u2019s Scholarship and full Graduate Assistantship at Baylor University, the Elizabeth Cowling Music Scholarship, and the Thursday Morning Music Club Scholarship.\u00a0She has also been chosen as the winner of the Richard Deas Concerto Competition. She performed as the second violinist in the Ursino String Quartet and won the chamber division of the Semper Pro Musica Competition at Baylor with the quartet.\u00a0Consequently, the quartet performed at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall in May of 2017.\u00a0Molly<\/span> also received the Betti Foundation Fellowship Award through the Methow Valley Chamber Festival and performed as a member of the festival\u2019s fellowship quartet in July of 2017.\u00a0During the summer of 2019, Molly<\/span> attended the Round Top Festival Institute as an orchestral \u201cYoung Artist\u201d.\u00a0Molly<\/span> attended the Hot Springs Music Festival in Arkansas in 2012 and performed solo works at the Richard Luby Violin Symposium in the summers of 2011-2014 and 2016.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I \u00a0 \u00a0n addition to orchestral and chamber playing, Molly is an active solo performer.\u00a0 <\/span>She enjoys collaborating with her mother, concert pianist Domonique Launey.\u00a0 <\/span>Most recently, Molly<\/span> and Domonique performed as guest artists at Beckwith Hall at UNC Wilmington in 2019.\u00a0Earlier that year, the duo played a recital at the University of North Texas as well. Previously, Molly<\/span> and Domonique performed a concert in Lexington, Kentucky at Transylvania University in 2018. The duo has performed at several venues in North Carolina including the Wilson Center in Wilmington as well as First Presbyterian Church (Wilmington) through its concert series, Music at First.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
